Galvez was wanted for an incident in Chicago and thought to be armed with a handgun, police said. Chicago officers attempted to take Galvez into custody near 147th Street and John Humphrey Drive, but he “fought” with them and fled on foot, running into a business at 10 Orland Square Drive, police said. When Chicago police officers followed him into the business, Galvez again allegedly fought with them and fled into another area of the business. Orland Park police set up a perimeter and began a search inside and around the business, and 15 minutes later Galvez was observed inside the Walgreens at 147th Street and LaGrange Road, according to the release. He reportedly fled officers on foot but was stopped and arrested in the parking lot of a bank Galvez at 14701 Ravinia Ave. Orland Park police reportedly used an FAA-certified done for aerial surveillance and recorded the apprehension. Galvez had an active warrant for his arrest, and he reportedly was turned over to Chicago police on the scene. No handgun was located at the scene, police added. Tyler P. Schiavone, 20, of 8930 Chadbourn Drive in Orland Park, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a Class X felony, as well as one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor, according to a press release issued Friday, May 18, by the Orland Park Police Department. Police reportedly received information regarding unlawful drug sales coming from Schiavone’s residence and conducted an investigation starting in April. That investigation concluded Thursday, per room (2 Rooms Minimum) Schiavone May 17, with the execution of a search warrant, police said. In addition to the aforementioned drugs and paraphernalia, $115 in cash was seized from the home, according to the release. Schiavone was located at the scene and arrested, police added. Schiavone was detained in Orland Park, pending a bond hearing scheduled for May 18 at the Cook County Courthouse for the Fifth Municipal District in Bridgeview. Stewart, 47, of 486 Linda Lane in Lynwood, and Dianna M. Krask, 42, of 7239 S. Morgan Ave. in Chicago, each were charged April 24 with one felony count of retail theft after they allegedly tried to take merchandise from a store in the 15800 block of 94th Avenue. Stewart allegedly placed 61 items valued at a total of $1,175 in an empty liquor box and a shopping cart and left the store without paying for the items. Krask put 27 items valued at a total of $347.42 into a shopping cart and left the store without paying for them, police said. When ordered to stop, Stewart left the cart and ran and helped Krask put merchandise she had into the trunk of a vehicle, according the report. The two then got in the vehicle with others and fled the scene, police said. The vehicle was stopped in the 9400 block of 159th Street and the two were identified, police added.
