It all starts with a
story
What happens when an entrepreneur with a
successful track record in manufacturing has a
home built for himself? Massive frustra on!
Insight Homes founder, Rob Lisle, was
confounded by the fact that so many modern
building techniques and materials were
available, but ignored by most builders. Could
it be cost, difficulty to implement, or just plain
lack of desire? To learn why, an experiment
was hatched. Build 36 houses, in groups of
three, to maximize energy efficiency,
structural integrity, air quality, and build me.
Each group of three improved upon the
performance of the last.
Before comple on, Rob received recogni on
from the Department of Energy for building a
home significantly more efficient than ENERGY
STAR® guidelines. The innova on didn't stop
at energy savings. In fact, it con nues every
day at Insight Homes.

What do we mean by Precision Built? Advanced construc on techniques that put
each and every Insight Home in a class above what is offered by typical builders.
We use exterior framing using 2x6 studs instead of the standard 2x4, advanced
framing that saves lumber and aligns stress points. We also use sophis cated
panelized wall systems, saving me and adding precision. These are just two out of
hundreds of examples. The use of cu ng edge science and building techniques
makes an Insight Home far superior to everything else on the market.
Another great benefit? Super noise control. The thickness of the insula on
provides a welcome relief from outside noise.

“
My name is Kylie. I was born four months early and only weighed 1
pound, 8 ounces. I needed to use an oxygen tank for the first year of
my life. I spent 2 to 3 months a year in the hospital with breathing
problems un l I was five years old. I didn't get to grow up like other
kids. I couldn't run. I couldn't play sports. Some mes it was just hard
to breathe. In 2008, we moved into our new Insight Home. Since
then, my life has changed. I haven't been to the hospital. I don't take
any medica on. I can play soccer, go ice ska ng and play flute in the
school band. These are things that I couldn't do before. My mom says
