Teaching Health Principles<br />

Greater ef<strong>for</strong>ts should be put <strong>for</strong>th to educate<br />

<strong>the</strong> people in <strong>the</strong> principles of health re<strong>for</strong>m.<br />

Cooking schools should be established, and houseto-house<br />

instruction should be given in <strong>the</strong> art of<br />

cooking wholesome food. Old and young should<br />

learn how to cook more simply. Wherever <strong>the</strong> truth<br />

is presented, <strong>the</strong> people are to be taught how to<br />

prepare food in a simple, yet appetizing way. They<br />

are to be shown that a nourishing diet can be<br />

provided without <strong>the</strong> use of flesh foods.<br />

Teach <strong>the</strong> people that it is better to know how<br />

to keep well than how to cure disease. Our<br />

physicians should be wise educators, warning all<br />

against self-indulgence and showing that<br />

abstinence from <strong>the</strong> things that God has prohibited<br />

is <strong>the</strong> only way to prevent ruin of body and mind.<br />

Much tact and discretion should be employed<br />

in preparing nourishing food to take <strong>the</strong> place of<br />
