Jeremy Barton
General Counsel, The Boston Consulting Group
Jeremy Barton is a partner and the General Counsel of The Boston Consulting Group
Inc., where he is responsible for all legal matters. He is a member of BCG's Executive
Committee.
In addition to advising the CEO and leadership of BCG at a strategic level, Jeremy and his global team counsel
BCG partners on operational legal matters as well as on issues relating to professional standards, risk, crisis
management, ethics, corporate governance, group structure and intellectual property.
In this context, he is responsible for the coordination of legal resources throughout BCG, managing
relationships with many law firms and other professional service firms providing support to his function.
Jeremy is also a member of BCG's Organization Practice with particular focus on Organizational Design for
the legal and compliance functions of BCG's multinational clients. He has spent the last decade operating as
a European and Global General Counsel, leading international legal functions in change management and
organizational improvement.
His previous experience includes having been General Counsel at Ernst & Young Global and Deputy Global
General Counsel at Andersen Worldwide. Prior to working in-house, Jeremy was in private practice in the
London and Paris offices of Norton Rose.
Amelie de Marsily
Senior Director, Legal Services, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia, Cisco
Amélie de Marsily is a Senior Director of Legal at Cisco Systems, a worldwide leader in
networking products, services and solutions for the Internet. She currently leads and
manages a team of 25 lawyers and contract negotiators who look after all legal issues
that arise from the sale of Cisco's products, services and solutions in Europe, Middle
East, Africa and Russia. She sits on the EMEAR Leadership Board and various other
company boards around Europe. Previous to that role, to which she was appointed in July 2011, she was
responsible for European Markets. She has been with Cisco 11 years.
Amélie is a French avocat (1995) and before joining Cisco worked at Clifford Chance in Paris and Madrid,
where is now based. She is involved in Cisco’s inclusion and diversity efforts, and led for a couple of years, at
European level, Cisco’s women’s network, Connected Women. She is a native French speaker and fluent in
English and Spanish, and proficient in Swedish.
Riccardo Ventura
Vice President and General Counsel Europe, Adam Opel AG
Riccardo Ventura is VP and General Counsel of Adam Opel AG, based in Rüsselsheim,
Germany. In his role, he is responsible for all legal affairs of General Motors in Europe.
He earned a Juris Doctor degree from Università degli Studi di Parma in 1987 and a
Master of Laws (LL.M) in Common Law Studies from Georgetown University in
Washington D.C. in 1993.
Before joining GM in May 2005, he worked for 12 years in private practice, advising Italian and foreign
clients on M&A and commercial transactions with Brosio Casati e Associat/Allen&Overy and Pavia e Ansaldo.
