Q: Do you use locally sourced ingredients
and produce, and does this change
seasonally? What would you recommend
for a small scale meeting in the summer
compared to the winter? Would it vary?
Our menu changes each season so we are able to
use the best of what is local to us where possible.
The options for delegates attending a meeting in
the summer would be much lighter than a
conference lunch in winter months.
Q: What three reasons would you give event
organisers to choose Lion Quays for their

Quality of food and the menus available plus the
hospitality and friendliness of all the team.
Q: Are there any interesting facts about the
history of the hotel which would interest
our readers?
We were recently awarded an AA Rosette for the
Waterside Restaurant which was the first time in the
hotel’s history.
The resort was the first in the UK to have a snow
cave in our spa thermal suite.
The hotel is situated on the Llangollen Canal, part of
which is included in the UNESCO world heritage list.
Lion Quays Hotel and Spa offers event organisers
and meeting bookers a choice of eight rooms and
suites. The Lion Suite is the largest and welcomes
up to 400 delegates for a theatre style event or
330 for a dinner and dance.
Meeting rooms are themed around parliament
with the Cabinet Room, Westminster Room, No.10
and No.11 providing an inspiring backdrop for
delegates to discuss, debate and brain storm!
