Your gifts in acti<strong>on</strong><br />

Buffalo Hospital Foundati<strong>on</strong>’s missi<strong>on</strong> is to serve as a catalyst for<br />
innovative services and facilities to improve <strong>community</strong> <strong>health</strong>. We<br />
certainly achieved that in 2009 and c<strong>on</strong>tinue to do so this year.<br />
From <strong>community</strong> wellness to surgical services, emergency care to<br />
delivery babies, Buffalo Hospital plays a vital role in the <strong>health</strong> of our<br />
fast-growing <strong>community</strong>. Today the hospital is str<strong>on</strong>ger than ever,<br />
thanks to many individuals, companies and organizati<strong>on</strong>s.<br />
Labor in full-swing<br />
Buffalo Hospital is currently building a new Birth Center that will double the size of our current<br />
center and provide a more comfortable, healing envir<strong>on</strong>ment for families. This project wouldn’t<br />
be possible without <strong>community</strong> support.<br />
The Foundati<strong>on</strong> is raising $1 milli<strong>on</strong> of the $7.1 milli<strong>on</strong> needed to build the Birth Center.<br />
Community support has been amazing — so far, we have raised $785, 000 — with just $215,000<br />
to go! Reaching that goal is the Foundati<strong>on</strong>’s No. 1 priority in 2010. A gift of any size makes a<br />
difference. We have had many individuals and companies participate in the Capital Campaign at<br />
levels that allow them a naming opportunity, such as post-partum rooms, the nursery and triage<br />

When the new Birth Center is complete this summer, patients will enjoy an ambiance and amenities<br />
similar to what you find in a luxury hotel. I can’t wait to welcome our d<strong>on</strong>ors and <strong>community</strong><br />
members at the Grand Opening celebrati<strong>on</strong>. It is going to be a special day when the lullaby chimes<br />
ring throughout the hospital for the first time, announcing the first birth in the new Birth Center.
