Loretta and Bill Nicholson, of Orland Park,
celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary
on July 1 with family and friends at Petey’s
II Restaurant.
The Nicholsons were married on June
26, 1948, at St. Kilian Catholic Church on
Chicago’s South Side. Mrs. Nicholson is
the former Loretta Leib of Chicago.
The Nicholson’s have five children —
William Jr. (Sharon), of Bonita Springs,
Flordia; Pamela (Charles) Schumacher,
of Homestead. Florida; Janet (Anthony)
Adamo, of Orland Park; Kenneth (Patricia),
of Tinley Park; and Ronald (Ramona),
of Nazareth, Pennsylvania. They have
12 grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
Mr. Nicholson was a former executive
of Amoco Chemicals Corp., and
Mrs. Nicholson was a secretary and
homemaker.
Previously, they lived in the Chicago
area; Orland Park; Chesterfield, Missouri;
and Geneva, Switzerland. They returned
to the United States and retired in 1988,
residing currently in Orland Park.
