Wilmette woman arrested for felony<br />
burglary at two different residences<br />

charged with<br />
three felony<br />
counts of residential<br />
burglary<br />
Luksik<br />
following alleged incidents<br />
on Friday, June 29, and Sunday,<br />
July 1, in Wilmette.<br />
Wilmette Police responded<br />
to a residential burglary in<br />
which the victim reported that<br />
the offenders had just left his<br />
home at approximately 10:52<br />
a.m. June 29 in the 800 block<br />
of Leyden Lane. The victim<br />
was sleeping in his bedroom<br />
and was awakened by the<br />
female offender, later identified<br />
as Luksik, allegedly rummaging<br />
through his personal<br />
belongings on his bedroom<br />
floor. The offender is a former<br />
acquaintance of the victim<br />
but did not have permission<br />
to be in the home. Luksik left<br />
the resident when asked to by<br />
the victim.<br />
Wilmette Police responded<br />
to a residential burglary in<br />
which the victim reported that<br />
the offender, later identified as<br />
Luksik, had just fled his home<br />
at 11:41 a.m. July 1 in the<br />
900 block of Romona Road.<br />
The victim related that at approximately<br />
11:10 a.m., he returned<br />
home from a weekend<br />
trip and discovered that one<br />
of his basement windows had<br />
been broken out and another<br />
door leading to the basement<br />
had been forced open. As he<br />
was inspecting further, he<br />
observed Luksik allegedly<br />
walking near several items<br />
stacked up in the basement<br />
window well that had previously<br />
been in his basement.<br />
The victim and other witnesses<br />
observed Lusik fleeing<br />
the area in a maroon Sedan<br />
with a second male offender,<br />
later identified as Jason K.<br />
Krzak, 40, of Morton Grove.<br />
Winnetka Police located the<br />
suspect vehicle at Hill and<br />
Hibbard in Winnetka a short<br />
time later and took Luksik<br />
into custody. Krzak allegedly<br />
fled from the vehicle but<br />
was taken into custody moments<br />
later by Wilmette and<br />
Winnetka police officers. He<br />
would later be charged with<br />
one misdemeanor charge of<br />
resisting arrest.<br />
Luksik subsequently admitted<br />
to entering the residence<br />
in the 900 block of Romona<br />
Road earlier the same day.<br />
Thieves steal car, crash<br />
into tree following<br />
Wilmette police chase<br />

Wilmette Police,<br />
assisted by an officer<br />
from the Kenilworth<br />
Police Department, arrested<br />
four individuals<br />
following a car chase Brooks<br />
at approximately 2:50<br />
p.m. Monday, July 2,<br />
in Wilmette.<br />
The Kenilworth<br />
officer was attempting<br />
to stop a stolen<br />
vehicle, registered in<br />
Monee, in the area of<br />
Cumnor and Green Donaldson<br />
Bay Road. Wilmette<br />
Police pursued the vehicle to the 200<br />
block of Hibbard Road, where the<br />
driver of the offending vehicle, Darion<br />
Blackman, 22, of<br />
Chicago, lost control<br />
and struck a tree. The<br />
five occupants of the<br />
vehicle fled the area<br />
on foot. Four were<br />
later located and taken<br />
into custody a short<br />
time later.<br />
Blackman was<br />
charged with aggravated<br />
possession of a<br />
stolen motor vehicle.<br />

of Chicago, Darius<br />
Brooks, 19, of Chicago,<br />
and Traevon Hall,<br />
Hall<br />
Blackman<br />
20, of Chicago, were each charged<br />
with criminal trespass to a motor<br />
vehicle and resisting arrest.<br />
