TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT<br />
The level <strong>of</strong> educational attainment in the borough is generally<br />
high with the number <strong>of</strong> people achieving the highest level <strong>of</strong><br />
qualification* significantly higher than in outer <strong>London</strong> generally<br />
(56% compared to the 37.4% average for <strong>London</strong>). The percentage<br />
<strong>of</strong> people living in the borough, aged 16-74 years, without any<br />
formal educational qualifications is 5.2% compared to the average<br />
<strong>of</strong> 12.8% for <strong>London</strong>.<br />

With the demise <strong>of</strong> the Learning and Skills’ Council in March 2010,<br />

olds’ vocational education, national apprenticeships and adult skills<br />
