It’s not that difficult to get your desired
professional look and this article is about
the three techniques which help you to
achieve the look you crave. These tricks can
magically enhance your look. One compliments
another but there is a slight difference
between both of them. So, let us understand
the difference first.
Contouring is when we redefine or reshape
our facial structure by redefining our nose,
cheekbones, forehead and chin by shading
and using a skin tone which is generally darker
than ours but you should never use too dark
tone.
Highlighting on the other hand is used to
balance the contouring by using a highlighter or
concealer on the most prominent positions of
your face and for highlighting we generally use
lighter skin tone highlighter to complement our
complexion and move the lightening to emphasize
our facial features.
Contouring, as we have discussed is about redefining
or reshaping the facial structure but that
doesn’t make it time-consuming or anything to be
afraid of. Contouring is not a complex process and
it is quite simple and effective in bringing your best
features out or enhancing them. There are three keywords
that you should be aware while adopting contouring
techniques and they are:
• Sculpt: Sculpt refers to carving or redefining your
bone structure such as cheekbones, nose
by applying a contour powder. They use sculpting
to create shadows where we want to.
• Illuminate : Illuminate refers to lighten up the high
