Design update
Hobsonville Point primary school and Hobsonville
Point secondary school are being designed to
meet the needs of teaching and learning in the
21st century. Students and teachers will have a
range of innovative, flexible and functional spaces
to support a wide variety of teaching and learning
practices. Outdoor and indoor learning spaces
will be safe and inspiring providing all learners
the opportunity and encouragement to achieve
their full potential. Designs have been developed
on environmentally friendly and ecologically
sound principles with genuine commitment to
sustainability issues.
Establishment Board
of Trustees update
The board met with the Hobsonville schools
community on the 20 June 2012. At the
meeting the board introduced the proposed
draft enrolment zones for both schools.
ASC Architects (the design partner of the
consortium) presented the design concepts
and the principals discussed their education
philosophy for the schools.
Recruitment for a number of leadership
positions at both schools is continuing with
one deputy principal for the primary school
appointed.
The board has provided input into the
primary and secondary school design
development process and recently visited
the school sites to see the exciting progress
being made.
