gone and teamed up with <strong>Vans</strong> for their first ever festival appearance. The<br />

House of <strong>Vans</strong> is a brilliant new venue designed collaboratively between us<br />

and them and boasts a killer line-up booked by yours truly and <strong>Vans</strong> including<br />

Besti faves Kurupt FM alongside a UK festival exclusive from YOTA plus the<br />

<strong>Vans</strong> and global BMX team rider Dakota Roche band together to<br />

deliver new colorways and collaborative designs for Dakota’s “For<br />

The Search” collection. Highlighting his personalized colorway of<br />

the Sk8-Hi Pro, Dakota’s latest collection features an assortment of<br />

footwear, apparel and accessories that draw inspiration from his<br />

endless search for untapped street spots and new territory for his<br />

“Off The Wall” riding style.<br />

Dakota’s Sk8-Hi Pro is fabricated in an earthy, covert green suede<br />

and canvas upper with tonal laces, solid-black rubber foxing and<br />

matching rubber toe-cap detailing. Featuring his personal artwork<br />

Vault by <strong>Vans</strong> Reunites with Premium Japanese Menswear Label for<br />

This summer, Vault by <strong>Vans</strong> reunites with premium Japanese<br />

menswear label, WTAPS, to present a 13-piece premium footwear,<br />

apparel and accessories collection, honoring master Japanese<br />

The latest <strong>Vans</strong> WTAPS collection is the perfect balance between<br />

Antwerp Vintage Reunion<br />

Hi All,<br />

On July, 21 st we had our Grassroots Event at the Antwerp vintage<br />

Reunion.<br />

In total 40 paper slip-ons were created by kids, the reaction of the kids<br />

AND the parents were fantastic and we have loads of fun.<br />

In total we gathered 60 Stay in touch cards with email that we will<br />

process in the Antwerp store in the next couple of day.<br />

It seems a great formula, as customers were really open to fill in a Stay<br />

I touch card and a lot of people also registered for the newsletter.<br />

We handed out 20% vouchers to be redeemed in August in the<br />

Antwerp store:<br />

On the back of the voucher the new mall in Antwerp was advertised<br />

and the reactions were as follows:<br />

“Finally, that’s about time!”<br />

”Oh that’s so great, now I don’t have to go into the city every time!”<br />

”Super, then I can take my bike to the store next time!”<br />

”Finally a cool store in the shopping centre!”<br />

Overall I had a lot of fun, and so did our customers and kids!<br />

“So a year since I moved not only counties but also districts to<br />

somewhere I had only come and helped out for a few months.<br />

A lot has changed since little Sheffield was a black concept store, I've been<br />

to RLS again, helped train new teams in UK North district and once again<br />

bought too many pairs of <strong>Vans</strong>.<br />

While at RLS it brought back to me why I still love the brand and thankful<br />

that I can come to work everyday and be surrounded by things that I love<br />

not only my team but the sports and music which <strong>Vans</strong> supports.<br />

Since re-opening Sheff, there have been a crazy amount of challenge:<br />

both myself as a manager and my team and store.<br />

I've realized that changing my management style has had the best effects<br />

on my team giving them more of the power and knowledge rather then<br />

me doing everything myself, letting my guys know why I'm so driven and<br />

why I am so stoked to come to work everyday ' just to sell shoes’.<br />

The start of the year has been mega difficult for us with Massive<br />

deliveries, crazy amount of snow, SAP and then having no stock in busy<br />

periods and this sometimes can be mega frustrating.<br />

But throughout this horrible period the one thing has remained and that's<br />

my team who I work with everyday they sometimes have neggy days ( we<br />

all do!) but we were all in it together we came up with solutions and<br />

worked together to make it easier everyday to do what we love doing and<br />

work for <strong>Vans</strong>.<br />

There's always a new day ( and plenty of new shoes to be bought!)

for help or advice as without them things could have looked more<br />

bleak.<br />
