stop by Miss Lucy’s office to<br />

choose a brand new book, sticker<br />

sheet, and coupons for local fun!<br />

PRIZE DRAWING for Kids will<br />

be held after the Monday Movie<br />

on <strong>August</strong> 20th at approximately<br />

1:15 PM. PRIZE DRAWING<br />

for Teens will be after their<br />

movie night on <strong>August</strong> 27th, at<br />

approximately 8:15 p.m. You do<br />

not need to be present to win,<br />

but make sure all your tickets are<br />

turned in before the movie starts.<br />

TUMBLEBUS: Tumblebus is<br />

a fully padded converted school<br />

bus that is filled with gymnastics<br />

equipment to provide a safe and<br />

fun environment for children.<br />

<strong>August</strong> 10th and <strong>August</strong> 24th.<br />

Please sign-up in advance for a<br />

spot on the bus at 10:15 or 10:45.<br />

Life Size PacMan: Experience<br />

the rush of becoming one<br />

of the most iconic video game<br />

characters of all time by playing<br />

Pac-Man in person. As you run<br />

through this giant-size maze,<br />

you’ll try to gather as many dots<br />

as possible without running into<br />

the Ghosts. Monday, <strong>August</strong><br />

6th. Ages 6-10 at 4 p.m. Ages 10<br />

and up at 5:30 p.m. Register or<br />

Parachute Adventures:<br />

We will play parachute games,<br />

learn new songs, strengthen our<br />

muscles, sharpen our listening<br />

skills and wiggle, wiggle, wiggle!<br />

These activities will be geared to<br />

the older parachute enthusiast,<br />

younger siblings are welcome to<br />

attend Toddler Jam at the same<br />

time or stay with a caregiver and<br />

watch the big kids.<br />

Parachute Playgroup: Enjoy<br />

Karaoke Coding: In this<br />

workshop from the Rhode Island<br />

Computer Museum, we’ll use<br />

portable microphones and free<br />

coding software to learn basic<br />

sound design using simple programs<br />

to record / modify our<br />

voices and design your very own<br />

beat box.<br />

Teen Paint and Sip: Bring<br />

your favorite summer cup, library<br />

Teen Summer Reading<br />

Finale! Interactive Movie<br />

Teens will have the opportunity<br />

to vote for our end-ofsummer<br />

movie. Voting poster<br />

will be on display in the YA area<br />

beginning <strong>August</strong> 1st. Voting will<br />

close on Tuesday, <strong>August</strong> 21st at<br />

8 p.m. When you arrive at movie<br />

night, you will receive a goody<br />

bag of props and instructions<br />

to enhance your entertainment<br />

experience. And there will be<br />

snacks. Ages 12 and up. Register<br />

in advance. Movie may be rated<br />

PG or PG-13.<br />

<strong>Medway</strong> Democratic Town Committee<br />

Awards Clorite Scholarship<br />

The Robert and Evelyn Clorite<br />

Book Scholarship Award is<br />

named in honor of two of the<br />

founding members of the <strong>Medway</strong><br />

Democratic Town Committee<br />

(MDTC). Longtime residents<br />

of <strong>Medway</strong>, Mr. and Mrs. Clorite<br />

were active participants in local<br />

and state electoral politics and<br />

strongly believed in the importance<br />

of education.<br />

Any <strong>Medway</strong> High School senior<br />

who resides in the Town of<br />

<strong>Medway</strong> is eligible to apply. The<br />

<strong>2018</strong> Book Scholarship Award is<br />

six hundred dollars ($600) and<br />

will be awarded to the applicant<br />

deemed by the MDTC to<br />

have best met the task described.<br />

Thank you to Bob, Jenn, Tracy<br />

and Judy for their work selecting<br />

the best essay.<br />

This year’s winner is Jonathan<br />

(Jack) Creonte. Jack is<br />

heading to Roger Williams College,<br />

and was appreciative of the<br />
