WE’RE READY
The visit to Germany also included a day of
attending AgriTechnica in Hanover Germany.
AgriTechnica is the world’s biggest agricultural
show, used by many of the largest agriculture
manufacturers to showcase their newest
equipment. Seeing what the future of the world of
agriculture has to offer gave Avenue Machinery
further insight into Fendt’s leading edge. We will
continue to invest in being there, with them.
The trip wasn’t all work; the Avenue Machinery
team was able to visit Berlin and Munich. A nice
break offering a chance to take in the many sites
each of those cities have to offer.

With land at a premium cost the importance
of maximizing yield will only continue to grow.
Technologies out of Europe are making an even
larger impact than ever before here in British
Columbia. Avenue Machinery is taking steps to
be on the forefront of technological changes in the
agricultural industry. Our partnership with Fendt is
strategic as we know that Fendt is at least 10 years
ahead of the game. Their technological advantages
are important to the producer that wants to stay in
the game. Fendt has brought us the future, giving
us machines, allowing the ability to farm with
unmatched precision. The cab of a Vario feels like
the cockpit of an advanced jet fighter. Don’t let the
advanced controls intimidate, it’s all been designed
to make life easier.
In cooperation with Fendt, Avenue Machinery
sent our technicians to Marktoberdorf, Germany
to receive factory training and certification. Avenue
Machinery decided that the Heavy Duty mechanics
in our shops, could benefit from enhanced training,
on the very technically advanced Fendt tractor
line up. Though our technical staff attend regular
product training schools here in North America
Avenue Machinery decided to invest in advanced
training that would bring our technicians to a higher
level of competency with the Fendt product. The
cost of this comprehensive 5 day training in Europe
was significant, however we are already seeing the
benefits of that investment. Much of the training
centered around the advanced computer systems
and the Fendt Vario transmission hydrostaticmechanical
power split drive.
Connor Wood took part in the advanced training
and had this to say, “The training was second to
none! The knowledgeable trainers answered
questions in great detail. We learned things at a
depth general training could never teach. I’m now
more than prepared to confidently work on any
Fendt”.
While our technicians attended training at the
Fendt Factory our sales staff guided 12 of our
valued customers on a tour. The impressive facility
is as state of the art as their tractors. It can produce
up to 80 machines a day. Those assembling the
tractors are in good spirits and obviously take pride
in their work.
