Lava Cap is a family-owned winery in Placerville, California. The Jones family
planted their first vines in 1981 and opened the winery in 1986 on a special site in the
heart of El Dorado County. The family of geologists specifically selected this location for
its prime volcanic soil that is particularly well suited to growing fine wine grapes. They
named their new business after this unique "lava cap," where their grapes flourish in the
volcanic soil, warmed by the foothill sunshine and cooled by gentle Sierra night breezes.

Outbreak Brewing Co.
Partners, Tim Daniel, Dustin Russell and Kris Zabish operate
Outbreak Brewing, a small brewery and tasting room located at
640 Main Street in Placerville, California only feet from the ruins
of Zeiss Brewing. We started the journey in 2012 at The Brewers
Barn, our homebrew and wine making supply shop. Many of the
relationships that we have now have come from our days in the
homebrew shop. We acquired our brewery location in April of
2015 and soon after began the process to turn it in to what it is
today. The brewhouse is a 7 Barrel system built by Grass Valley's
Brewbilt Manufacturing and our fermenters came from Apex
Brewing Supply located in Loomis, CA. Our demand has been so
great that we've recently purchased 3 new 15 barrel tanks which
will satisfy our local tasting room, restaurants, as well as our up
and coming can releases! We specialize in
many different styles of beer but the goal
has always been to make fine drinkable
beverages for all to enjoy.
