Having a sexy, colorful pout will be this fall’s
ultimate beauty accessory. So when Revlon
launched Ultra HD Lipstick this past January,
they were on fleek! The lipstick, which is available
in 20 shades, is formulated to provide highdefinition
color with a lightweight feel. “The secret
is the 100% wax-free gel formula providing vivid,
silky smooth color in one swipe,” says Krystyne
Biser, senior director, global product development
at Revlon. Here, the brand answers some
questions about why Ultra HD Lipstick provides
what lips need for the upcoming season.
Beauty Within: What are Revlon Ultra HD
Lipstick’s innovative qualities compared with
what is already on the market?
KB: Traditional lipstick has a wax base, which
leaves a milky color. Revlon Ultra HD lipstick is
unique because it is 100% wax-free, with a clear
gel base. It delivers true, uninterrupted color with
a weightless feel and a smooth, even application
in just one swipe.

One of our favorite ways to illustrate this, to
really bring what we are saying to life, is the
color swipe in our advertisement. We drag a
traditional, wax-based lipstick next to Revlon
Ultra HD lipstick to compare application.
As customers can see, Revlon Ultra HD’s
application is smoother, more even and bolder
than the wax-based lipstick.
BW: What ingredients make it so effective?
KB: The clear gel base provides the
infrastructure for Revlon Ultra HD’s smoother,
more even application and weightless feel.
The Revlon team of scientists worked closely
together to create a wax-free structure that
delivered high-intensity color with incredible
glide. Years of research and development went
into perfecting this new technology. We also
have incorporated a new scent to our lipstick,
a mix of whipped vanilla and creamy mango.
