MINISTRY OF ENERGY: TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP TO PROMOTE<br />
THE INCLUSION OF WOMEN IN ENERGY DEFINED ITS FIRST GOALS<br />
As part of the initiative Energía+Mujer (Energy+Woman) of the Ministry of Energy, the<br />
technical working group to promote the integration of women in the Energy sector set its<br />
first goals: i) Define the baseline and clear and measurable objectives; ii) Launch the<br />
implementation of initiatives focused on the achievement of the sought specific<br />
objectives; iii) Define a clear leadership with power ¡ÉSTA within ES LA the PRIMERA organization PLANTA to carry out the<br />
required changes, and iv) Carry out a strict monitoring GEOTÉRMICA of the progress DE SUDAMÉRICA!<br />
with clear KPIs.<br />
The working group will meet on a monthly basis, is integrated by representatives of the<br />
sector’s trade associations and institutions, including <strong>ACERA</strong>, and looks for every<br />
member to contribute in co-creating the measurement instrument, collection, diagnosis,<br />
and proposal of an action plan. The next step will be the tender of a survey on the<br />
“Identification of Barriers and Gaps that impede the inclusion of women in the Energy<br />
Sector”.<br />
At the first session of the working group, Roxana Martinelli, coordinator of the Win-Win<br />
Program of UN Women, outlined the joint program of UN Women and ILO called<br />
“Win-Win”, whose objective is to provide the business sector with a set of tools,<br />
knowledge, and exchange of experiences to increase the economic empowerment and<br />
leadership of women as a basis for a sustainable, inclusive and equitable growth.<br />
