• SAVVY SOCIAL SECURITY PLANNING FOR BOOMERS - Saturday,<br />

<strong>September</strong> 29 th , 10 AM. Come to hear financial planner Karin Tyson<br />

explain how to get the most out of Social Security. Bring your questions!<br />

She will discuss Social Security’s many aspects. You will learn five<br />

important factors & strategies to consider when deciding to apply for<br />

When it makes sense to delay benefits-and when it does not<br />

Why you should always check your earnings record for accuracy<br />

How to estimate your benefits<br />

Innovative strategies for coordinating benefits with your spouse<br />

How to minimize taxes on Social Security benefits<br />

• CONVERSATIONAL ESL - Thursdays, 2 PM. Join our free Conversational<br />

ESL class each week. Attendees will need to fill out an application.<br />

• SAVVY STITCHERS - Thursdays, 3:30 PM. The Savvy Stitchers is a place to<br />

share ideas for different crafts such as knitting and crochet! Don’t miss out on<br />

the weekly fun! Make sure to bring your needles and yarn. All ages welcome.<br />

• SOCIAL CRAFTERS - Saturdays at 10 AM. Join our new social crafting<br />

group! Are you working on a craft or fabric arts project now? Bring a<br />

project to the library and share your ideas with others. Or, just come to<br />

learn more about crafts you may want to try. All are welcome!<br />

• MYSTERY BOOK CLUB - Join us for our monthly mystery book<br />

discussion at the library. This month we are reading Conspiracy of Faith<br />

by Jussi Adler-Olsen. Or, check out an e-book or e-audiobook through<br />

the library’s Overdrive collection. The mystery book club meets the third<br />

Thursday of each month at 11 AM.<br />

CHILDREN<br />

• PARA LOS NINOS BILINGUAL STORYTIME - Friday, <strong>September</strong> 28 th ,<br />

1:30 PM. Bilingual storytime and activities for children 3-7 and their<br />

parent/caregivers. Please join us!<br />

• PRESCHOOL STORYTIME - Tuesdays at 10:30 AM. Early literacy<br />

program with stories, songs, finger plays and the occasional craft geared<br />

towards preschoolers aged 3-6 yrs old. In order to ensure the safety of our<br />

youngest patrons, this is a ticketed program. Free tickets are available on<br />

the morning of the program. First come, first served.<br />

• INFANT STORY TIME - Wednesdays, at 10:30 AM. Infant Time is an<br />

early literacy program for the children ages birth to 18 months. Please<br />

join us as we share literacy tips, stories, songs, fingerplays, bubbles and<br />

books. In order to ensure the safety of our youngest patrons this is a<br />

ticketed program. Free ticket available on the morning of the program<br />

in the library.<br />

• COMMUNITY STORYTIME AT CLAY’S RESTAURANT - Wednesdays, at<br />

2:30 PM. Community Storytime is an early literacy program for children<br />

ages 18 months to 6 years. Come join us at Clay’s Restaurant, 17717 Clay<br />

Road, as we share literacy tips, stories, songs and fingerplays. Each week<br />

this storytime will be an adaption of our library’s preschool or toddler<br />

program. We want to thank Clay’s Restaurant for partnering with us in<br />

providing community storytime.<br />

• TODDLER TIME - Thursdays, at 10:30 AM. Toddler Time is an early<br />

literacy program for children ages 18 months to 3 years of age. Please<br />

join us as we share literacy tips, stories, songs and fingerplays. In order<br />

to ensure the safety of our youngest patrons this is a ticketed program.<br />

Free tickets are available on the morning of the program in the library.<br />
