1 ST ANNUAL RUN WILD RUN FREE 5K RUN/WALK<br />
Hey Runners! Come Run Wild with TWRC Wildlife Center <strong>at</strong> our 1 st Annual<br />
Run Wild Run Free 5K Run/Walk, <strong>September</strong> 8, <strong>2018</strong> <strong>at</strong> Burroughs Park<br />
in Tomball, Texas. Proceeds will help with the care and rehabilit<strong>at</strong>ion<br />
of Texas Wildlife right here in Houston. There will be prizes for top<br />
male and female runners, best wildlife costume, face painting for the<br />

SHOTS FOR HOLLY SLATES ANNUAL KICKOFF<br />
Flu season is around the corner and the Shots for Holly crew is gearing<br />
up for its busiest time of the year. Founder and president, Dr. Michelle<br />
Becker, said the group’s annual kickoff party is sl<strong>at</strong>ed for S<strong>at</strong>urday,<br />
<strong>September</strong> 8 th , 2-5 PM <strong>at</strong> Creekwood Grill, 12710 Telge Road, Cypress,<br />
Texas 77429. A kickoff party might seem odd for flu season, but this is<br />
the fifth year the organiz<strong>at</strong>ion has held such an event.<br />
There will be a few silent auction items and Chinese raffle items. Proceeds from<br />
the auction and raffle will help us cover the cost of flu shots for those in need. The<br />
band SoulShine will be on-hand to provide the soundtrack for the afternoon.<br />
Shots for Holly is a 501(c)(3) charity organiz<strong>at</strong>ion. In <strong>2018</strong>, Shots for Holly<br />
was named the CyFair Houston Chamber of Commerce’s Nonprofit of<br />

ST. CUTHBERT EPISCOPAL CHURCH BLOOD DRIVE<br />
St. Cuthbert Episcopal Church will be hosting a Blood Drive on Sunday,<br />
<strong>September</strong> 30 th beginning <strong>at</strong> 8:30 AM. A mobile unit will be in the parking<br />
lot until 12:30 PM. To don<strong>at</strong>e, you must be a least 17 years of age,<br />
<strong>at</strong> least 110 lbs. and in good general health. If just 20 people don<strong>at</strong>e,<br />
we can save 60 lives! It only takes about 15 minutes, so please stop by.<br />
