MICHAEL VOOGHT one of our associate clergy will be retiring later this year, with his final<br />
mass taking place on Sun 23 Sept. To thank him for his dedication, we would like to get<br />
him a nice retirement gift. If you would like to make a contribution, please give<br />
donations to the <strong>Church</strong> Wardens or the Parish Office.<br />
REDCLIFFE AUTUMN FESTIVAL Sun 14 Oct, an event across different venues in <strong>Redcliffe</strong> will<br />
showcase all good things going on in the community. Running 2-5pm, stalls and<br />
activities from different groups. Eeveryone is welcome! Our community workers, Rachel<br />
and David, are looking for anyone who might like to help on the day too.<br />
BRISTOL HALF MARATHON: there will be road closures around the church on Sun 23 Sep.<br />
There are a few leaflets at the back of church with more details.<br />
CONFIRMATION: This year’s confirmation service will be here (at SMR) on Wednesday 28<br />
November at 7.30pm. We don’t yet know whether our new bishop, Rt Rev Viv Faull, will<br />
be taking the service – but let’s hope! Prep. sessions are about to get underway so if<br />
you would like to be Confirmed please speak to Dan Tyndall (adults) or Kat Campion-<br />
Spall (all age group)<br />
REMEMBRANCE: Do you have anything that comes from WWI? If so, please do speak with<br />
me so that can add it to our collection of memorabilia (so far we have medals,<br />
postcards, diaries and a Communion set used in the trenches) that will be on display for<br />
the evening service on Sun 11 Nov<br />
MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING We are holding a coffee morning at the West End of SMR<br />
on Friday 28 th and Saturday 29 th Sept at 10am. If anyone could donate a cake or little<br />

CHRISTMAS CARD DESIGN COMPETITION We are inviting designs for our parish Christmas<br />
card from adults and children - a design featuring either an image of the church or the<br />
Biblical Christmas story. These will be given to every home and business in the parish.<br />
Submissions can be in any medium, including a high resolution image of your<br />
artwork. Card size DL - 100mm×210mm either landscape or portrait. Submission<br />
deadline is Monday 8th October. Either email your design to kat.campionspall@stmaryredcliffe.co.uk<br />
or give it to the Vergers for the Parish Office.<br />
REDCLIFFE WAY: Bristol City Council have agreed funding of more than £3million to<br />
changes to the road layout on <strong>Redcliffe</strong> Way. Changes are now really underway to bring<br />
200 new (mainly affordable and family) homes just outside the church!
