Making Room for New Ideas...

It has been an honor
to serve on the Board
for the last 11 years.
The American Society
of São Paulo (AmSoc)
has provided me the
experience of a lifetime; I will carry you all in
my heart, as you are my family. I am moving
on to focus on my Coaching career, which has
taken a back seat during my presidency. Now,
it’s on to my future!
As your President for the last three years,
I wanted to note that we’ve built a lot of
momentum. Our events have been well
attended, and smiles have been abundant.
New systems are in place in the office to ensure
high quality and efficiency, and we have a well
trained staff that cares about AmSoc. Keep the
momentum going, it’s a key to success!
I want to introduce you to Ariane Cartwright,
who became President on April 19 th at our
Annual General Meeting.
I find Ariane to be a very intelligent, active, and
caring person. In our board meetings, she has
brought quality mixed with insightfulness. She
listens well, adding her ideas to make things
better. She is a good leader, and will steer
AmSoc in our newest direction.
As you can see from my new President photo,
I’ve already begun to relax and enjoy the
sunshine!

It is with the greatest
pleasure that I accept the
role of President of the
American Society of São Paulo for the term of
2018-2020.
As you read this, we are in the midst of
celebrating 68 years of AmSoc in São Paulo
through our annual Gala. Each year, we come
together to commemorate and honor our
community and give back through charitable
gifts to our partner charities. Thank you for
making this a success again this year!

Into the Future...
PRESIDENT'S LETTER
As we move into the second half of 2018, I’ll
be working with the Board of Directors and
our committed volunteers to roll out some
ambitious new events and programs, as well as
improve upon our existing ones. Next month,
I’ll share these with you in more detail.
Until then, thank you for this opportunity to
serve AmSoc. I look forward to working with
you in the years ahead.
