in our part of the world

fellow world citizens are
forced to live on a very
bare minimum, what is
always one of the first
things to go? Not just
Christmas presents or
the possibility of going
on school trips etc. The
children´s opportunity
to join their friends
and classmates in organized
team sports,
which is such a big part
of Danish society, and
integral to integration,

why we do it
Fortunately, bikes are a
popular means of transalso
becomes non-essential
to daily survival.
Which is completely understandable,
but such
a shame! Not only do
the children not get the
exercise and fun with
peers that would be so
good for them, they also
miss out on a socializing
team experience, and –
for our fellow citizens
from other parts of the
world – the opportunity
to learn the language,
make friends for
life, and grow up to be
truly integrated members
of society (and take
care of us, when we´re
old, let´s not forget..)
OUR
ART
Original art has always
played an important part
in creating the atmosphere
of our hotels. Marc Weinert,
as well as being the architect
and visual designer
of the Guldsmeden Hotels,
comes from an artistic
background. His father
Knud Weinert´s paintings
and collages can be found
throughout the hotels -
side by side with pieces by
established and up-andcoming
artists, as well as
Indone-sian antiques. In
2014 we acquired a handful
of wonderful paintings
by Spanish-born Bali
resident Mersuka Dopazo
Gascón, that light up the
rooms and hallways at
Babette Guldsmeden.
And most recently, we
have entered into a collaboration
with Danish
artist Hans Oldau
Krull, who has created a
number of striking and
powerful paintings and
sculptures for our hotels.

clean a room!
our golden rules - a promise to
ourselves & you
1. Turn off all lights in empty rooms.
2. Turn off heating when windows are open
and then set radiator at 2.
3. Sort paper, cardboard and glass for the
respective trash bins.
4. Check that bed & kitchen linen and towels
are used before sending to wash.
5. Make sure that you use the correct dosage
of cleaning products.
6. Fill trash bags full up, to use as few as possible.
7. Reuse trash bag in room, if possible.
8. Never throw our things that still work –
pens left in rooms etc.
9. Never let the water run unnecessarily.
Turn off taps when possible during cleaning.
10. All magazines and carrier bags left in
rooms are to be collected in the lobby, for
use by other guests.
11. Always report dripping taps or running
toilets, so we don´t waste water.
12. Only use tumble dryer when necessary.
