I hereby give public notice, that unless<br />
said properties are redeemed, prior to<br />
the close of business on the last business<br />
day prior to the first day of the<br />
public auction, or Friday, October 19,<br />
2018, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, I will<br />
offer for sale and sell said properties<br />

Prospective bidders should obtain detailed<br />

Bidders are required to<br />
pre-register at 225 North Hill Street,<br />
Room 130, Los Angeles, Cali-fornia<br />
and submit a refundable $5,000<br />
de-posit in the form of cash, cashier's<br />
check or bank-issued money order at<br />
the time of registration. The TTC will<br />
not accept personal checks, two-party<br />
checks or business checks for the registration<br />
deposit. The TTC will apply<br />
the registration deposit towards the<br />
minimum bid. Registration will begin<br />
on Monday, September 17, 2018, at<br />
8:00 a.m. and end on Friday, October<br />
5, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.<br />
Pursuant to R&TC Section 3692.3, the<br />
TTC sells all property ``as is`` and the<br />
County and its employees are not liable<br />

If the TTC sells a property, parties of<br />
interest, as defined by R&TC Section<br />
4675, have a right to file a claim with<br />
the County for any proceeds from the<br />
sale, which are in excess of the liens<br />
and costs required to be paid from the<br />
proceeds. If there are any excess proceeds<br />
after the application of the minimum<br />
bid, the TTC will send notice to<br />

the Proposed Project (described below)<br />
in accordance with CEQA. The<br />
District is providing public notice in<br />

for the purpose of determining whether<br />
the Project may have a significant effect<br />
on the environment. The District<br />
has concluded that the Proposed Project<br />

on the environment with the implementation<br />
of certain mitigation measures.<br />
The MND reflects the independent<br />
judgement of the District.<br />
Project Location: All proposed physical<br />
improvements would be built at<br />
Point Dume Marine Science School<br />
(Point Dume) at 6955 Fernhill Drive in<br />
the City of Malibu in western Los Angeles<br />
County. The campus is approximately<br />
0.5 miles south of Pacific Coast<br />
Highway at the southwest corner of<br />
the intersection of Fernhill Drive and<br />
Grayfox Street. The Proposed Project<br />
would also involve combining elementary<br />
school students from Juan Cabrillo<br />
Elementary School (Cabrillo) at<br />
30237 Morning View Drive in the City<br />
of Malibu onto the Point Dume campus;<br />
and transferring middle school<br />
students from Malibu Middle and High<br />
School, at 30215 Morning View Drive<br />
in the City of Malibu, to the Cabrillo<br />
campus. No physical improvements<br />
would be made either the Malibu Middle<br />
and High School or the Cabrillo<br />
campuses.<br />
Project Description: Improvements at<br />
Point Dume would be developed in<br />
two phases:<br />
Phase 1 would consist of installation<br />
of 10 portables (8 classrooms, one administration<br />
portable, and one<br />
restroom portable) on the Point Dume<br />
campus for two years, 2019-20 and<br />
2020-21. One portable classroom<br />
would be installed in the kindergarten<br />
area in the southwest part of the campus,<br />
while the remaining nine portables<br />
would be installed in the central<br />
part of the campus on the south part of<br />
the existing hardcourt area. The portables<br />
would accommodate the increase<br />
in student population for two years until<br />
a permanent classroom building is<br />
constructed.<br />
Phase 2 would consist construction of<br />
two permanent buildings: a two-story<br />
classroom building with eight classrooms<br />
and approximately 15,000<br />
square feet of building area, to be built<br />
in the north-central part of the campus<br />
on the north end of the hardcourt area,<br />
and development of a new 2,500<br />
square foot administrative office located<br />
on the site of the portables for<br />
the elementary school portion. The remaining<br />
area, approximately 15,000<br />
square feet, would be converted back<br />
to permeable surfaces. Phase 2 construction<br />
would be scheduled for 14<br />
months between summer 2020 and<br />
summer 2021.<br />
The Proposed Project would also include<br />
combining two elementary<br />
schools and transferring middle school<br />
students from Malibu Middle and High<br />
School to one of the elementary<br />
schools (see Project Location above).<br />
The Point Dume campus is not included<br />
on any list under Government<br />
Code section 65962.5.<br />

District invites you to comment on the<br />
