Friends for Life Forever Farm
Seeks Community Support for
Adoptions, Funding & Volunteers
Friends for Life Forever Farm, an animal sanctuary
located in Lake Toxaway, is seeking community support
for their operations following a structural reorganization.
The sanctuary, which specializes in rescue, rehabilitation
and re-homing of senior animals, has recently undergone
leadership changes following board response to financial
concerns. The new board of directors has stepped in
to manage day to day operations and re-establish
organizational stability. The organization is seeking funds
for their medical program to help care for the 125 animals
who currently live on-site at the sanctuary.
Board President, Donn Gash, says “An important
objective during this time of change is evaluating our
ability to provide for the animals we currently have in our
care. Providing quality care to our animals is extremely
important to us as an organization. Since we focus our
work primarily on animals who are seniors or have special
needs, our medical costs are exceptionally high for an
animal sanctuary. We are re-evaluating our animal care
practices and daily operations to ensure we meet the
high standard of care our animals deserve. We have
discovered that we have many animals in need of routine
care such as dentistry and lab work, so we are reaching
out to the community in hope that they will help us be able
to afford this care for our animals.” Friends for Life Forever
