offer basic animal care<br />
services at low cost<br />

Services and skills<br />
such as dipping,<br />
deworming, grooming,<br />
stitch removal, taking<br />
temperatures and<br />
ultimately triage for<br />
sick animals will help<br />
uplift individuals and<br />
keep their dignity<br />
and pride in making a<br />
difference.<br />
Train and provide<br />
resources<br />
for members of<br />
the community<br />
to design and<br />
sew Thanda <strong>Inja</strong><br />
merchandise such<br />
as collars and<br />
leads, dog beds<br />
and blankets, dog<br />
clothing and baking<br />
of dog biscuits.<br />
Train and partner with<br />
drivers and driver<br />
assistants to use the<br />
mobile ambulances<br />
and trailers to<br />
collect and return<br />
the animals coming<br />
in for sterilization<br />
and treatments on a<br />
daily basis. Ultimately<br />
an owner/driver<br />
empowerment strategy<br />
can be considered.<br />
A future goal is to<br />
create a Thanda<br />
<strong>Inja</strong> Learnership/<br />
Internship for<br />
community members<br />
to become competent<br />
in the required welfare<br />
skills and knowledge<br />
to start their own<br />
entrepreneurial<br />
businesses to further<br />
impact on the<br />
communities.<br />
