the fashion/licensing industry, Instagram geek and newbie here<br />

I joined the DTC buying team a month ago now, coming from<br />

London where I spent a few years.<br />

Prior to that I worked and lived in France, Australia, New Zealand<br />

To celebrate the opening of the new VANS store in Wijnegem,<br />

a successful opening event has been organized on October the 6 th<br />

from 15:00 to 19:00.<br />

Two professional airbrush artists invited all guests to brand their<br />

new <strong>Vans</strong> shoes or other items, choosing one of<br />

the created airbrush templates.<br />

These templates feature unique designs, representing the <strong>Vans</strong><br />

brand and this specific event, inspired by all the <strong>Vans</strong> brand pillars.<br />

(The artists could also create non-permanent airbrush for the guests who<br />

preferred this option)

the store: this way people approaching the store from nearby could<br />

see the footprints.<br />

Those are professional non-permanent floor stickers, that can easily<br />

be removed at the end of the day.

KITINTALE: Currently skate-aid is doubling the size of the skatepark in<br />

Kitintale, the suburbs of Kampala, in the middle of a “slum area”.<br />

The kids living there have got food but nothing to do and the social<br />

aspect of skateboarding and the work of skate-aid makes a big difference<br />

to their life.<br />

This skatepark is safe place to grow up without crime, drugs etc. helps<br />

Hi <strong>Vans</strong> family!<br />

I'm Laura SM from Agira (Italy), but I come from Spain.<br />

I’m so proud to say that right now I'm in the family since<br />

almost a year (time flies!!!).<br />

I’m spending amazing time in <strong>Vans</strong> and I’ve already had lots<br />

of great experiences through these months, like the VRLS...<br />

I cannot believe it's already been 8 months since the last<br />

VRLS, when we all had the opportunity to spend a wonderful<br />

week all together in Portugal.<br />

It was special for me because it was my first one and I really<br />

had the chance to embrace the <strong>Vans</strong> philosophy, participate<br />

to the activities and the workshops was truly inspiring. We<br />

spoke about some points that are part of our everyday life in<br />

I really felt like all the stores managers were working<br />

together as part of one unique team. Different stores,<br />

different stories, different functions, but all looking in the<br />

same directions.<br />

This is the most important thing that I will bring with me<br />

through this work experience.

BACK to VRLS<br />

Well...it has been really cool to meet Steve (!!!!!), Caballero,<br />

Alva, Hosoi even for those, like me, not having a skate<br />

background. How important it is to have an extra value when<br />

we sold a pair of shoes? Now I can say: yes, I meet the<br />

legends!! And I can spread this emotion with my customers<br />

and, most important, with my team.<br />

Last but not least, The VRLS gave us the chance to have fun and<br />

enjoy every moment all together as a family. It gave me so<br />

much energy to be brought back in my store that I can<br />

definitely commit to cascade it to my team and our customers.<br />

I can't wait to participate to the next one!<br />

was on his way , caught all the attentions surrounding him..<br />

This year after 4 stages across the country was consecrated sub-10<br />
