TWIN LAKES SHARE
& PRAYER
The Share & Prayer group
began meeting weekly again
in September! Throughout
this past year as we’ve recovered
together from Hurricane
Harvey we gathered almost
every other week. Being connected strengthened and heartened us
through the process! We are so glad for Twin Lakes and our amazing
community here: it’s friendly, safe, encouraging and beautiful!
Beginning in September we’re exploring the topic of sex trafficking.
Patty Napp became connected to an initiative that is a collaboration
of many churches. The purpose of the engagement is to educate,
equip and empower people. Any neighborhood can be affected by
this. A highly informative video entitled “Nefarious” launches the
sessions; the information testimonies of some who were previously
trapped… both pimps and prostitutes… changes one’s perspective.
Biblical views of restoration are always espoused in this group.
We’ll meet Tuesday evenings at 6:45 PM, primarily at the home of
Carol Monahan. Contact Carol at 713-305-9809 or Patty Napp at 713-
775-5278. We are always open to respectful discussion; participation
is welcome to any woman residing in Twin Lakes.
HARRIS COUNTY MUD NO. 255
Twin Lakes Subdivision
TAX RATE
At the October 2018 Board Meeting Harris County MUD No. 255 voted
to keep the property tax rate the same for 2018 at $0.2800 per $100
valuation. In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey many of Twin Lakes
properties have decreased in appraised value, hence the overall
revenue available to our MUD for 2019 will be reduced.
