Rises
In May 2018, Emaar completed the concrete placement for
Dubai Creek’s Tower pile cap two months ahead of schedule.
The pile cap is an approximately 20-metre thick multi-layered,
tiered reinforced concrete top that covers and transfers the
load to the foundation barrettes. To reach this milestone, more
than 450 skilled professionals from across the world had to
pour 50,000 cubic meters of concrete weighing about 120,000
tonnes or the weight of the CN Tower in Canada. Additionally,
16,000 tonnes of steel reinforcement was placed – just over
twice the weight of the Eiffel Tower.
