FUN FESTIVITIES FROM NCV O-WEEK
This year’s, NCV O-week entailed a whole lot of
fun and adventure taking place from February 19
to March 2 . Take a look at the various activities
held at NCV over an excellent 12 days:
• A casual welcome ‘kick off’ dinner meant delicious
free food and a chance to meet new neighbours
and reconnect with old friends. Prizes were won
and fun was had by all!
• Pub trivia night, an NCV favourite, included
questions catering to residents from all cultures
and corners of the globe in a battle of the brains.
Some feisty competition left several teams
scrambling for the prizes.
• Friday night BBQ and live music kept everyone
entertained and with full bellies. Games and
activities were also run to help foster friendships.
There’s nothing like a bit of scrumptious food and
jolly good fun on your Friday – and all for free!
• The Christian Fellowship Welcome was a great
chance for one and all to meet some of the
Christian residents, hear about what they believe
and discover what events and activities they run
weekly throughout the year. It was an awesome
opportunity for Christians and non-Christians
alike to open up some important thinking and
discussions.
• The official Welcome Dinner for new residents, and
the supper crawl to follow, saw new residents get
an official introduction to the Master, Dean and
Senior Residents (SR’s) of NCV over dinner. The
SR’s then hosted supper with delicious food on
each floor of NCV.
• Postgrad night was a welcome party and
opportunity to start the academic year in style!
Sushi, wine and cheese helped postgrads enjoy an
evening socialising with peers.
• The free Pancake Brekky on Friday March 2nd was
an excellent way to celebrate the end of week 1
of uni. Plenty of mouth-watering toppings were
available, and games of badminton were played by
many keen residents.
NCV O-week is an incredible time of fun and
friendship. It is a wonderful time for both new and
returning residents to connect with others in their
course and on their floor. NCV continually endeavours
to be more than a convenient place to live, as a
community that fosters a supportive and welcoming
environment to all who walk through its doors.
