<strong>Richard</strong> <strong>Morgan</strong> was educated at QEH in Bristol where he first learnt<br />

to play the organ. Following his time at QEH he read Physics at Exeter<br />

University where he was taught the organ by Paul <strong>Morgan</strong> (no<br />

relation) the Cathedral <strong>Organ</strong>ist. He was also University <strong>Organ</strong><br />

Scholar at The Collegiate <strong>Church</strong> of The Holy Cross and the Mother of<br />

Him who hung thereon - Crediton - the church with the longest title<br />

in the UK. Whilst at Crediton he accompanied the choir on live<br />

broadcasts for both national TV & Radio.<br />

Since his return to Bristol upon graduating he has pursued a<br />

successful sales career - latterly within the field of Interim Financial<br />

Management. He still plays the organ regularly and has given recitals<br />

throughout Bristol and its environs including at the Cathedral and The<br />

Colston Hall as well as further afield in Reading, Newbury, Sudbury<br />

and Exeter. He also accompanies a number of choirs, amongst them,<br />

Holy Cross on 5 overseas tours, In Ecclesia and The Ascension Singers<br />

- both peripatetic liturgical choirs and Sudbury Choral Society on a<br />

regular basis, as well as playing at a number of churches in Bristol,<br />

primarily <strong>St</strong> <strong>Mary</strong>, Fishponds. A past President of the B&DOA (2007-<br />

2008), <strong>Richard</strong> is still an active committee member.<br />

<strong>Richard</strong> lives in Bristol with his wife Margaret and 12 year old son<br />

William who occasionally allows his dad to play the organ without<br />

assisting him in his choice of registration.<br />
