2 Tuesday, November 27, 2018 Metropolitan IGP Sindh for strict security, smooth traffic flow during IDEAS-2018 KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam on Monday directed the police officials to ensure strict implementation of strategy made for the security during IDEAS-2018 besides making proper arrangements for smooth flow of traffic. The police chief has particularly asked Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) East for ensuring strict monitoring in and around the Expo Centre and to deploy personnel in civil dress at all the gates of Expo Centre. The technical sweeping and clearance from the Bomb Disposal Squad was also ordered. Dr Syed Kaleem Imam ordered adoption of foolproof security measures during the four days IDEAS from November 27 to 30 specially for the participants and in this connection the organizers be also coordinated. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan Monday resolved that the capital police would be made corruption free force by advancing professional capabilities of its personnel and ordered to set up the IAU, immediately, a press release said. In the light of these orders, an IAU has been established in Central Police Office, Islamabad for which an instant Standing Order has also been issued. The IAU would report to the office of the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police Operations, Islamabad, while one DSP as incharge and four inspectors as members of the unit would perform their duties under direct supervision of AIG Operations.
