A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS MESSAGE I LIKE TO SHARE EVERY YEAR<br />
The story goes that some time ago, a man punished his 3-year-old<br />
daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight<br />
and he became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box to put<br />
under the Christmas tree.<br />
Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next<br />
morning and said, “This is for you, Daddy. He was embarrassed by<br />
his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found the<br />
box was empty. He yelled at her, “Don’t you know that when you give<br />
someone a present, there’s supposed to be something in it?”<br />
The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said “Oh,<br />
Daddy, it is not empty. I blew kisses into the box. All for you, Daddy.”<br />
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and he<br />
begged for her forgiveness.<br />
It is told that the man kept that gold box by his bed for years and<br />
whenever he was discouraged, he would take out an imaginary kiss<br />
and remember the love of the child who had put it there.<br />
In a very real sense, each of us as humans have been given a gold container<br />
filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children,<br />
friends, family or God. There is no more precious possession anyone<br />
could hold.<br />

The Kmart at 26471 Ynez Road in Temecula<br />
is among the latest casualties for struggling retailer<br />
Sears Holdings.<br />
The store will close in February, the company<br />
announced last month.<br />
The parent company is closing 40 more Sears<br />
and Kmart stores. This is in addition to the 142<br />
locations that Sears Holdings said last month it<br />
would close, which included a Riverside location.<br />
The company filed for bankruptcy protection<br />
in October.<br />
A liquidation sale for the Temecula store began<br />

Great for Christmas Morning!<br />
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x5 inch loaf<br />
pan.<br />
In a large bowl, stir together the melted butter and<br />
sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla, mix well. Combine the<br />
flour, baking soda and salt, stir into the butter mixture<br />
until smooth. Finally, fold in the sour cream, walnuts<br />
and bananas. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.<br />
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 60 minutes,<br />
or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf<br />
comes out clean. Cool loaf in the pan for 10 minutes<br />
before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
