10 | December 6, 2018 | The glencoe anchor news glencoeanchor.com police reports Traffic offenses lead to drug possession arrest Ramsin Samuel, 23, of Lincolnwood, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis (between 30-100 grams), driver’s license not on person, disobeyed traffic signal, obstructed driver’s view and no rear registration plate light at 2:27 a.m. Nov. 23 at the Dundee Road exit on Interstate 94. His court date is Jan. 2. In other police news: Nov. 27 • Unknown offender called a victim to advise their Target account was being investigated for fraudulent activity. The offender asked for their social security number and the victim hung up the phone. They have also received two denials in the mail for credit card applications, one to Best Buy and one to Target, neither of which the victim applied for. Nov. 26 • A victim’s lamp post was reported damaged at 3:37 p.m. in the 600 block of Sheridan Road. The damage is estimated at $1,000. • Unknown offender attempted to deceive a victim into paying for an overdue ComEd bill by purchasing Money Pack cards worth $1,500. The victim purchased them then attempted to call ComEd to verify. Due to the power outage, the victim could not get through and then attempted to call the numbers from the caller ID, both were numbers coming back to places other than ComEd and the victim called Glencoe Public Safety. There is no loss. Nov. 25 • Luis R. Macias, 21, of Milwaukee, Wis., was arrested for speeding, improper lane usage, uninsured motor vehicle and suspended driver’s license at 12:55 a.m. at the Dundee Road exit on Interstate 94. His court date is Dec. 24. Nov. 24 • An unknown offender stole an unlocked 2017 Land Rover with the key fob left inside at 10:06 a.m. in the 1000 block of Elm Ridge Drive. There was also a “large, undetermined amount” of money in the vehicle. Nov. 23 • Israel Fermin-Rubio, 38, of Wheeling, was arrested for driving under the influence, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol at 6:24 a.m. on Dundee Road. His court date is Dec. 17. Nov. 21 • Gregory Mitchell, 60, of Country Club Hills, was arrested for driving under the influence, uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 5:17 p.m. at the intersection of Lake Cook and Sheridan roads. His court date is Jan. 2, 2019. Nov. 19 • Bernardo Medina, 44, of Chicago, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license, no valid driver’s license, uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage and minimum speed restriction at 2:09 a.m. at the Dundee Road exit on Interstate 94.
