family with privacy and room darkening.
Essential Cookware and Utensils

Although cooking is likely the last thing on your mind after a move, eating will help you
reenergize and prepare you for a full day of unpacking. While ordering takeout on the
first night is sort of a 'moving tradition’ for many people, eating with your own utensils
and on your own dishes is not only convenient but can make you feel more at home.
Pack everyday cups, glassware, plates, cookware and small appliances in a box
separate from the other dishes. Ensure this box is easy to identify and access. You can

morning.
Basic Bath Supplies, Toiletries and Medications

available for bathing or showering after the move. Supplies like soap, shower gel,
shampoo and conditioner, a shower curtain (if needed), a hair dryer and towels should
be kept on-hand and ready to go. Toiletries should also be kept within reach, including
toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, lotion and/or moisturizer, makeup, hair supplies
and more. But don’t forget toilet paper, paper towels and hand soap, either. Finally,
ensure your family’s medications are separated, organized and within reach.
