Winnetka Winter Express,
where children and parents
will hop on a magical
ride from Hubbard Woods
Train Station to the North
Pole. During the trip, each
little boy and girl will receive
a copy of “The Polar
Express” that park district
staff will read along onto
the magical destination
and a special treat as well.
Tickets are $25 for children
and $20 for adults.

Skate with Santa

free Skate with Santa.

Hearing Loss and
Conversation Difficulties
10 a.m.-noon, Jan. 14,
North Shore Senior Center,

Northfield. Dr. Angela
Roberts and Dr. Jack Scott
will discuss the unique
conversation problems
faced by people with hearing
loss, based on their
personal experience and
research. This program is
presented by the Chicago
North Shore Chapter of the
Hearing Loss Association
of America, and will be
held in the Lindon Lounge
equipped with a hearing
loop and live captioning.
Free, but donations are
welcome to support our
Chapter’s work.

Santa’s Mailbox
Nov. 21-Dec. 19, Southwest
Corner of Elm and
Chestnut streets, Winnetka.
Santa’s elves will sneak
into Winnetka and drop
off this magical mailbox
on Nov. 22. Children can
write to Santa and drop off
their letters at his specially
designated mailbox near
the Winnetka Post Office.
On Dec. 20, the elves will
pack up and take it home
to the North Pole. Include
names and a return address
to ensure the elves know
where to send Santa’s response.
Kindergarten Registration
District 36 kindergarten
pre-registration for 2019-
2020 is now open. Children
who will be 5 years
old on or before Sept. 1,
