Open Tuesdays and Saturdays from mid-April through mid-October from 1-4pm, or by appointment for group tours. MUSEUM AT THE DEPOT 1811 Parmenter Street • See map: G8 800.688.5694 Built in 1856, this depot was an active passenger station until 1960 and a freight depot until 1975. Today, it is on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as the Middleton Visitor Center and home of the Middleton Tourism Commission. A distinctive glass exterior designed by James Moravec of Potter Lawson gives way to a stunning interior featuring wood paneling and brick. PHEASANT BRANCH CONSERVANCY See map: C11 608.821.8350 • pheasantbranch.org The 550-acre conservancy protects Pheasant Branch Creek, which supplies Lake Mendota with 1,800 gallons of crystal-clear water every minute.
