Prerequisites<br />
Possessing a patent Officer in charge of navigational watch<br />
objectives<br />
This course provides additional training for deck officers on the principles of<br />
watchkeeping on the bridge, travel planning, management and organization at<br />
the navigation bridge (STCW B-VIII / 2, Part 3-1 ).<br />

Principles and sea travel planning - Practical use of the travel plan<br />
Rules and practices in force for keeping a navigational watch<br />
operational practices for the efficient use of equipment and staff gateway<br />
Organization of bridge team (Operational Level - Level Management)<br />
Practical exercises:<br />
o collisions with other sea vessels<br />
o Navigation in reduced visibility<br />
o Application of Rule 17 by the primary vessel<br />
o Navigation in heavy traffic areas<br />
o Navigation in areas with restricted ability to maneuver - risk of<br />
collision with several other ships<br />
o Navigation through a traffic separation zone in dense traffic<br />
(TSS)<br />
o From a port and arrival at the pilot station to another port sailing<br />
in heavy traffic areas<br />
o Approach a congested anchorage area, intending to anchor<br />
o Navigating a narrow channel<br />
o Navigation with the assistance of a pilot, part of the bridge team<br />
