Catering to children and family groups, the Children’s Museum<br />
is the only one of its type within a six-county range and<br />
features fun and educational exhibits geared toward kids.<br />
Civilian Conservation Corps Museum<br />

The CCC Museum is inside the gates of Highlands Hammock<br />
State Park and paid entrance into the park is required.<br />
Celebrating the Civilian Conservation Corps, which built many<br />
state parks nationwide during the 1930s, the museum building<br />
was actually constructed by the CCC.<br />
HCA Galleries of Fine Art<br />

The HCA gallery at the <strong>Sebring</strong> Regional Airport is a constantly<br />
changing art museum that exhibits work of select local artists<br />
as one-person or group shows throughout the season. Exhibits<br />
change monthly with an artist’s reception usually the first<br />
Saturday of the month.<br />

As part of “The Village Where Art Lives,” the Highlands MoTA<br />
features curated exhibits, both permanent and traveling.<br />
Art competitions and receptions are held in the building,<br />
while classes are featured in the other three buildings in the<br />

Military Sea Services Museum<br />

This museum is the only museum in the United States to honor<br />
the men and women of the Navy, Marines and Coast Guard<br />
who went to sea on behalf of our country. Items on display<br />
include uniforms, models of ships and other artifacts on<br />

Museum of Florida Art and Culture<br />

Located at South Florida State College, this museum boasts<br />
several permanent and traveling exhibits that will delight<br />
those who are interested in the culture of our area. Permanent<br />
exhibits include displays on the archeology and history of<br />

While not technically a museum, the archives at the <strong>Sebring</strong><br />
Historical Society are open to the public for research. There<br />
are some artifacts on display, but the main repository is photos<br />
and archived print materials.<br />
