them unto the border of Beth-shemesh. {6:13} And [they the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the<br />

of] Beth-shemesh [were] reaping their wheat harvest in the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the<br />

valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten<br />

rejoiced to see [it. ]{6:14} And the cart came into the field before Israel. {7:11} And the men of Israel went out of<br />

of Joshua, a Beth-shemite, and stood there, where [there Mizpeh, and pursued the Philistines, and smote them, until<br />

was] a great stone: and they clave the wood of the cart, and [they came] under Beth-car. {7:12} Then Samuel took a<br />

offered the kine a burnt offering unto the LORD. {6:15} stone, and set [it] between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the<br />

And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the name of it Eben-ezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD<br />

coffer that [was] with it, wherein the jewels of gold [were,] helped us.{7:13} So the Philistines were subdued, and they came nomore<br />

and put [them] on the great stone: and the men of Bethshemesh<br />

offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the<br />

same day unto the LORD. {6:16} And when the five lords<br />

of the Philistines had seen [it,] they returned to Ekron the<br />

same day. {6:17} And these [are] the golden emerods which<br />

the Philistines returned [for] a trespass offering unto the<br />

LORD; for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Askelon one, for<br />

Gath one, for Ekron one; {6:18} And the golden mice,<br />

[according to] the number of all the cities of the Philistines<br />

[belonging] to the five lords, [both] of fenced cities, and of<br />

country villages, even unto the great [stone] of Abel,<br />

whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: [which stone<br />

remaineth] unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite.{6:19}<br />

And he smote the men of Beth-shemesh, becausethey built had an altar looked unto into the the LORD.{8:1} ark of the LORD, And it came even he to pass, smote when ofthe Samuel people<br />
