European styled kitchen versus American kitchen

The fact that Americans love to collect is a fact which is not surprising, thus their love for big kitchens with lots of cabinet spaces. European kitchens, on the other hand, tend to be smaller for the reason that Europeans tend to buy mostly for immediate consumption, instead of buying and freezing food for later consumption.

European styled kitchen versus American kitchen
The fact that Americans love to collect is a fact which is not surprising, thus
their love for big kitchens with lots of cabinet spaces. European kitchens, on
the other hand, tend to be smaller for the reason that Europeans tend to buy
mostly for immediate consumption, instead of buying and freezing food for
later consumption. Americans love functionality and comfort, Europeans love
the simplicity and no hustle. Kitchens in America usually have big room
pantries where they stack up on all kinds of food. On the other hand,
Europeans gravitate towards no upper cabinets perhaps as a reflection of their
simpler lifestyle.
Europeans generally value their space; hence, their kitchens are completely
separated from the rest of the house. They consider preparing food in front of
guests “unglamorous.” A typical European home has its dining room where
meals are served which is a different location from the actual kitchen where
the food is being prepared.

European kitchen sizes are smaller and less illuminated and cabinet space than
many American homes. They tend to purchase food fresh daily and usually
own smaller refrigerators which are about half the size of Americans. Frozen
foods are not as common in Europe as America and so they don’t sell
refrigerators that incorporate ice machines.
Having many appliances such as coffee maker, bread toaster, garbage disposal,
microwave, and a dishwasher is not prevalent in European kitchens. Rather,
washing machines are set up in kitchens in place of the dishwasher as would
be found in an America modern kitchen and it is uncommon to have a drying
machine because they hang their clothes.
Talking about kitchen cabinets, European kitchens have frameless cabinets
while American kitchens use framed cabinets. Framed cabinets have a face
frame that is visible from the front view while unframed cabinets are attached
directly to the corner of the cabinets and not to the front frame. When going
for a modern design, use frameless and if you would prefer a traditional design
use framed. Frameless cabinets are easier to maintain but harder to install.

An advantage of European kitchen over an American kitchen is that you can
move your kitchen with you as you change houses and apartments, but most
times, appliances and light fixtures in an American kitchen are usually sold
with the house. You have to buy all new appliances when moving unless you
have them from previous homes. You might want to consider all these before
setting up your kitchen in either the European or American way!!!....
