AVAL is a social enterprise under Auroville Village Action Group (AVAG) dedicated to the cause of women empowerment in the rural villages of Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu. Here, the women are trained in tailoring and crochet design, and then their products are introduced to appropriate markets, hence helping the women earn a livelihood and decent standard of living.
