Contemporary Music
Rebecca McGaffic, Director of Contemporary Worship
It has been my pleasure in serving the congregation of St. Peters Episcopal Church this past year as the
Director of Contemporary Music. My focus this year was to continue to provide worship music that would
complement the liturgy while touching hearts and bringing people to Jesus!
We had our first Night of Worship this year! It was entitled “Revive,
Refresh, Renew”. This was an amazing outreach concert not only
with all ministries in the church but to the community and other
churches as well! We had over 175 people in attendance and
several people who felt called to the altar to offer their lives to
Jesus.
Easter
We had another wonderful and spirit filled Easter.
We were able to facilitate an over flow room in Barge
hall which included a live feed from the Sanctuary. I
am happy to say we were able to accommodate
everyone who attended 11Am Worship. Both the
sanctuary and overflow were filled! We had a camera
crew and lighting ambiance in Barge Hall which
really helped us deliver the message on Easter
Sunday.
Christmas
Christmas Eve was extremely joyful and spiritual
this year. We had a four part vocal chorus which
sang beautifully and really set the tone of the
evening. We had a successful turnout at the 7pm
Christmas Eve service which had the largest attendance.
2019 Goals
I am excited to say we will have our next Night of
Worship January 25th, 2019. The theme this year
will be, “More of You, less of me”. I am thrilled to
be adding more to the nights experience with
liturgical dancing, videography ,wonderful music
and thoughtful scripture and prayer. We look
forward to touching more hearts and bringing
people closer to Jesus!
