She also placed second in the Sandburg’s Got Talent competition. How did you get started in dancing? I was 2 ½ and my mother [Cindy] put me in a class. She danced at her high school [Thornton Fractional South] and her college [Illinois State University]. Did you have any embarrassing moments in dancing? When you have a special part and all eyes are on you and you do something you weren’t supposed to do, it’s embarrassing but it makes you want to do the next part even better. You don’t want it to happen again. What’s the college situation like? I plan on going somewhere on the East Coast and I’m still deciding if I want to stay with dancing. Do you have any pumpup music before each meet? I like the song “Glorious” by Macklemore. And basically any Kanye West song. Is there a movie you can watch over and over again without getting sick of it? “The Hunger Games.” I love Jennifer Lawrence. Is there a TV show you could binge watch forever? “The Office.” I watch it all the time. I like Creed the best. Is there something people don’t know about you? A lot of people think that I’m shy but I am not at all. At school and in sports I like to stay focused and I don’t let myself get out of hand. But at home, it’s different. If you had a chance JEFF VORVA/22ND CENTURY MEDIA to have dinner with anybody – living or dead – who would it be with? Harry Styles because I really like One Direction. If they made a movie about your life, who should play you? Jennifer Lawrence – she’s so good.
