Hiking in this wilderness can be an adventure in
itself! You will see the homesteads and cabins of
the early men and women who made their living
in Hells Canyon, early Native American writings
on the walls along the trails, and stunning vistas
as you climb high to canyon viewpoints over 1,000
feet above river level.
Hells Canyon offers opportunities to satisfy both
the experienced angler and the novice. Imagine
fighting a bass every few minutes, catching a trout
in the ripples, or reeling in one of the famous Snake
River White Sturgeon, which average 6 to 8 feet in
length. Hells Canyon is truly one of the best sport
fishing destinations in the world.
3-DAY HELLS CANYON EXPEDITION
This amazing adventure starts at the end of the road just
below Hells Canyon Dam. You will journey downstream
35 miles to an isolated boat ramp at Pittsburgh Landing.
There will be a short shuttle drive over the East Rim and
