Best Design Dal fonografo alla radio: la famosissima Radio cubica (Marco Zanuso e Richard Sapper, 1963). Questo apparecchio portatile dall’utilizzo divertente e pratico, che si piega e forma un un cubo perfetto, è l’incarnazione perfetta dello spirito del gruppo di Memphis. Un altro dei pezzi scelti è una poltrona... la Poltrona Bel Air (Peter Shire, 1982) coloratissima e composta da tante forme geometriche che meravigliano e un po’ ”confondono le idee”. Ultimo, ma non per importanza, il tappeto Riviera (Nathalie du Pasquier, 1983). Esso guardandolo, viene da chiedersi se non potrebbe essere piuttosto un quadro, e mette allegria con i suoi disegni semplici, per certi versi quasi “infantili”, che fanno rimanere chi lo guarda quasi ipnotizzato ad osservarli. Noi, guardando questi pezzi, vediamo colore, “stranezza”, allegria. Chissà cosa ci vedeva Bowie, quanto vi percepiva dentro il “genio” del “sopra le righe”, oggetti così simili a lui e all’immagine che ha regalato al suo pubblico in tutta la sua carriera. 40 BEST MAGAZINE
