Kremer III, Editor Mokena Chamber of Commerce members were given a crash course in social media marketing during the chamber’s monthly meeting Feb. 12 at Mokena Community Public Library District. Robin Curtner, owner of Magical Marketing by Robin, gave a presentation to the assembled chamber members on how they could best reach their audiences across the Facebook social media platform. Tips included: Brand everything and anything, plan which posts to boost and figure out a specific target audience using specific keywords and/or phrases. Curtner also shared tips on how businesses on Facebook can network to help cross promote each others’ particular services and wares. Curtner encouraged chamber members to become familiar with Facebook’s analytics tools to gain insight on how a company’s target audience is using its social media campaigns and what kind of reach the business has. Curtner has been in the marketing field for both for profit and nonprofit business for more than 10 years, and has been the owner of her own company for the past year-and-a-half.
