Israel Tennis Centers Foundation exhibition in Naples
It’s that time again, high season, lots
of activity, bustling around from
morning ’til night. And we all have
our favorite things we look forward to
year after year. Well, this season, here’s
something special to add to that list!
On Monday, March 18 from 3:45
to 6:00 p.m., the Israel Tennis Centers
Foundation, in partnership with the
Jewish Federation of Greater Naples,
will host an exhibition with its student
team from Israel at the Players Club &
Spa at Lely Resort, 8060 Grand Lely
Drive, Naples. The exhibition is part
of the 2019 Winter exhibition tour. By
the time the team reaches Naples, it
will have swung through over 15 appearances
across South Florida during
February and March.
The Israel Tennis Centers Foundation
holds exhibition cycles several
times a year, bringing diverse teams
of children to the United States who
take part in its educational and sports
programs across Israel.
This season’s team is a multicultural
group of four Israeli junior tennis players,
including Koral, a 17-year-old girl
from Tel Aviv; Jasmine, a 10-year-old
Arab girl from Akko; Ariel, a 10-yearold
boy from Tel Aviv; and Tuval, a
19-year-old young man also from Tel
Aviv. The team will be coached by
ITC alumnus and former #18 in the
world in singles, Amos Mansdorf.
During their U.S. appearances, in
addition to exhibiting their skills on
court, these youth ambassadors will
share their personal stories about the
impact of the ITC on their lives off court,
on their families and the communities
in which they live. The ITC represents a
safe and nurturing educational environment
in which these children can learn
vital life values while sharpening their
tennis skills.
ITC is dedicated to empowering
children through sport and education to

foster lasting peace in one of the most
turbulent areas in the world. Its goal is
to teach children of all backgrounds how
to live successful lives.
“The Israeli Tennis Centers serves
20,000 children, many who are at risk
and have special needs, in 14 centers
across Israel. The positive impact
through counseling, tutoring, providing
meals and athletics for these children
and on their lives is heartwarming, and
so important. We are bringing this event
to Naples, so please come out and meet
some of these outstanding students and
hear their stories,” states Mark Schloss,
Co-Chair of the ITC Naples exhibition.
The focus of the ITC is on empowering
children every day so they can become
better human beings. Through its
social impact programs, a wide range of
children are served, including youth at
risk; immigrants from Ethiopia, Russia

and Ukraine; along with children with
special needs, from autism and ADHD
to Down syndrome, as well as those with
developmental and physical disabilities.
The ITC also recognizes the ability of
tennis to bring together children from
different religions as seen in its highly
successful Coexistence Program.
This ITC exhibition is open to
the public. Advanced registration is
required. Tax-deductible contributions
are greatly appreciated.
