Reggae with Common Kings, G
of Meat Loaf hits performed brilliantly
by his band Neverland Express with
an American Idol winner.
Mix in top shelf tributes to Queen,
Metallica, Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd and
The Doors and March figures to be full of
the dance floor mere inches from the stage,
the audience is right on top of the action
are concert-quality. All in a cozy setting
with full cocktail service including craft
beers, even “snow” fall.
QUEEN NATION gets the month off
dium after an Angels game and its performance
of “Bohemian Rhapsody” at the
Roxy in Hollywood has been a YouTube
hit. No wonder either; Gregory Finsley on
vocals and keyboards belts out the song in
the true style of the late Queen singer
Freddie Mercury.
Guitarist Mike McManus is tasked
with trying to match the great Brian May
lick for lick and really rips on “Bohemian
Rhapsody.” Pete Burke on drums assumes
the role of Roger Taylor, even singing on
“I’m in Love With My Car.”
The golden age of vintage Queen with
songs like “We Will Rock You/We are the
Champions,” “You’re My Best Friend,”
“Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” and
more kindle memories of the Live Killers
album. Queen Nation has played in front
of thousands at festivals and casinos but
The Cave’s intimate setting really makes
the show go off. Tickets $15-$35.
