NOTICES ELECTORAL ROLL RENEWAL: 2019 is a year in which we have to replace our entire Electoral Roll. To be on the roll after 14 April, please complete a new application form before 7 April and place it in the box provided at the back of Church. Forms are by the box. HYMN SING-A-LONG is in the South Transept in Church this month, on Wed, 6 Mar at 11.00am. Everyone is welcome, to sing and eat cake! ASH WEDNESDAY: 6 Mar, Sung Eucharist at 7.30pm at which incense will be used. OUR NEW YOUTH GROUP with Natasheya, our needle felting expert, have produced an amazing wall hanging for our Children's Area in church on "Strange but True" stories from the Bible. See how many of God's miracles you can spot - they are very carefully crafted! THEOLOGY BOOK CLUB Wed 13 Mar at 8pm at John Rogan’s house. Discussion of whether religious vocabulary is understandable to many people today. We will be using ‘Speaking of Sin’ by Barbara Brown Taylor. All are welcome, see simon.goodman61@btinternet.com. LENT GROUP This year’s Lent course is based on the 2004 film The Terminal. Each session will focus on a short clip of the film and lead into discussion around a Biblical theme, reflection and prayer. Film showing Tues 12 Mar at 2pm Vicarage; Groups Tue 19, 26 Mar and 2, 9 April 2pm in the Parish Office, led by Peter Dill. Film showing Thurs 7 Mar at 7pm Vicarage; Groups Thurs 14, 21, 28 Mar and 4 Apr; 7.30pm Vicarage. Led by Dan/Kat. LENT APPEAL – VOICES OF ADOPTION SAT, 9 MARCH, 6.30-9PM: Starting in church with a panel of adoptive parents along with professionals who have experience of working in the field of adoption. Come & hear about the challenges & rewards of adoption & learn more about the impact of early life trauma on children & the important work CCS Adoption do. This is a free event however donations are welcomed. There will be a bar selling tea, coffee & wine. THE CCS FAMILY FUN DAY WITH ‘THE MELODY MAKERS CHOIR’ – Sat, 30 March, 1-4pm. Fundraising funday in church for our Lent Appeal charity with plenty of activities and stalls, with pop choir ‘The Melody Makers’ performing between 2-2.30pm and 3-3.30pm. Tickets on the door - adults £5 / Children free. ABC CHARITY runs a free shop for refugees arriving in Bristol who need to set up their lives here. Need sewing machines, + electrical kitchen equipment, which we can PAT test. Donations to 5-7 Waverley Road, Redland, open Tues-Thurs 11am-3pm.
