NORTH HERTS SCHOOLS’ BOOK AWARD 2019
Fourteen students from Years 7, 8 and 9 have been busy this term reading, discussing and posting their book
reviews of the three shortlisted titles in their category. We’ve had lots of extremely enjoyable and stimulating
discussions at our Weekly Book Club and the event itself is still to come! The Award and Author Event is next
Wednesday morning 20 th March 2019 at Fearnhill School when participants have the opportunity to meet with
other students from nine other North Herts secondary schools, join in discussions and then each vote for their own
favourite. The highlight of the morning will be hearing from and meeting Lucy Adlington, the author of last year’s
winning title The Red Ribbon. The shortlisted 2019 titles will be available for borrowing by other students after 20 th
March. It is worth checking out the students’ reviews on our Library catalogue, Accessit and reserving yourself a
copy!
